Former Senate President and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, on Saturday, officially joined the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Anyim had on June 29 dumped the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party for the ruling APC.
The former lawmaker was formally received into the APC alongside other stakeholders in the Southeast on Saturday by the National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Ganduje.
Anyim formally defected at the Abakaliki Stadium during the party’s rally.
State Governors and other APC stalwarts, including the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma attended the event.
