The Dr Paddy Iyamu Emmanuel Foundation has held the seventh edition of its yearly free surgeries and medical outreach in Edo State.

According to the Founder, Dr Paddy Iyamu Emmanuel, the yearly event is one of the ways he gives back to society.

He said, “We are enjoined to be our brother’s keeper and we live in a world of inter-dependence. No one has it all and whatever we are, whatever position we occupy, it is that we are holding such in trust for the people, for the society. We started this seven years ago because we believe that there is a need to show love and kindness to others.

“These little efforts of ours have saved a lot of people from health conditions that have weighed them down. We also know that the government cannot do everything and therefore if we support government’s efforts, there is nothing bad in that. I cannot express how joyful I feel when I see the health burdens and challenges of people being lifted after our intervention. We are grateful to God for the opportunity to positively impact the lives of others.”

Some of the beneficiaries, like Benedicta Ajekaye, who had fibroid removed from her body, prayed that God would continue to empower Dr Iyamu to do more for humanity.

Mr Monday Audu, who had a case of lipoma, said, “Once again, the Dr. Paddy Iyamu Emmanuel Foundation is making a profound impact on the lives of Nigerians through the 7th Edition of Free Surgeries for fibroids, lipomas, breast lump, hernias and dental health issues. This monumental initiative is a testament to the compassion and commitment of a man who has devoted his life to giving back to society.

“Dr. Paddy Iyamu Emmanuel, a renowned philanthropist, teacher, caregiver, and statesman, has become a symbol of hope for the less privileged. For those who cannot afford life-saving medical procedures, he offers not just financial relief but a second chance at life. In a world where many struggle to pay hospital bills; sometimes with tragic consequences. Dr. Paddy stands as a beacon of light, ensuring no one is left behind.

“This annual outreach programme, powered by his Foundation, brings together foreign and professional medical experts who deliver world-class surgical care at no cost to beneficiaries.

The ripple effects of this humanitarian gesture are beyond measure: lives are saved, families are reunited, and hope is restored.

“The stories of gratitude are overwhelming. Beneficiaries, many of whom faced bleak futures, now roll on the floor in tears of appreciation. For them, this is not just surgery; it is a lifeline. Dr. Paddy Iyamu Emmanuel’s efforts demonstrate the true essence of leadership: using one’s resources and influence to uplift the vulnerable and transform society.

“The Dr. Paddy Iyamu Emmanuel Foundation reminds us all of the power of selflessness. As Nigerians, and indeed the global community, we are forever indebted to this humanitarian giant for his tireless work. His actions not only save lives but inspire us all to do more for our neighbors, our communities, and our world.

“Thank you, Dr. Paddy Iyamu Emmanuel, for being a trailblazer, a lifesaver, and a true example of what it means to serve humanity. May your efforts continue to grow, touching countless more lives and leaving an indelible mark on generations to come.

“Truly, the world is a better place because of heroes like you.”

Another beneficiary, Edirin Dolor, said she got to know of the programme from a church member and got a text message inviting her.

She was also relieved of the case of lipoma and lauded Dr Iyamu and his team.
