Hon. Samuel Oluwafemi Abiodun-Oni, a senatorial candidate for Ogun Central Senatorial District under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has urged residents of Ogun State, particularly those he seeks to represent, to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) being distributed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a press statement, Abiodun-Oni appealed to those who had registered to vote but were yet to collect their PVCs to do so promptly before the collection deadline expires.
He described the PVC as a vital instrument through which voters could exercise their democratic rights and vote the All Progressives Congress (APC) out of office in the 2027 general elections.
The senatorial candidate stated that, as preparations intensify for the forthcoming elections, the PVC remains the only means through which eligible voters can cast their ballots for in the Senate.
He also warned residents against selling their PVCs to politicians under any circumstances.
According to Abiodun-Oni, selling one’s PVC amounts to selling one’s future, stressing that politicians who buy voters’ cards cannot be trusted to deliver meaningful benefits to the people.
He noted that Nigerians, particularly residents of Ogun Central, had continued to experience the hardship associated with the current administration, despite the expectation that those in positions of authority would bring positive change.
He further criticised what he described as wasted opportunities and the failure to deliver essential projects and democratic dividends that should improve the lives of the people.
Abiodun-Oni therefore called on residents of Ogun Central to come out en masse during the 2027 elections and exercise their voting rights with their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
