Vice Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Rotimi Amaechi, on Friday, said he’ll withdraw from the ticket of the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, if the price of petrol drops to N600 per litre by tomorrow.
Amaechi stated this while featuring on Channels TV’s Politics Today, challenging the Federal Government’s claim that the cost of transportation and living expenses would decline following the reduction in fuel prices.

He asked whether transportation costs from Nyanya to Abuja had reduced as promised, insisting that Nigerians were yet to feel the impact of the policies.
“Every day he repeats the same thing. He said by October 1, the price of transport would come down. Check the cost of transport from Nyanya to Abuja; has anything come down? Has anything changed?” he said.
Amaechi added that if petrol sells for N600 per litre, he would campaign for President Bola Tinubu.
“If fuel has come down to N600 tomorrow, I will campaign for President Tinubu. If you doubt, come with your camera to my house in the morning. I will go to the filling station and buy fuel,” he said.
The ADC vice presidential candidate further stated that he would withdraw as Atiku’s running mate and support Tinubu if the price of petrol reaches N600 per litre.
“If it comes down to N600, I, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, will withdraw as the Vice Presidential candidate of Atiku and campaign for President Tinubu,” Amaechi said.
