… after all stakeholders’ meeting
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, ex-Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and ex-governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State have adopted the African Democratic Congress as the official platform of the opposition coalition.
It was gathered that Atiku, Obi and El-Rufai struck the agreement to adopt the ADC on Tuesday night as the coalition party.
Insider sources said with the conclusion of the meeting, which ran till the early hours of Wednesday, the coalition has effectively come to life.
All the stakeholders in the coalition said to have attended the meeting, set up committees to put finishing touches to the arrangement while also preparing for the public launch of the coalition.
Although no date has yet been fixed for the official launch of the coalition, it was reliably gathered that this would be done soon.
