US Department of State has authorised non-emergency US government employees and their family members to leave the US Embassy in Abuja, warning of a deteriorating security situation across the country. 2027: Jigawa, Lagos, Kano top list as INEC registers 3.4m new voters Independent National Electoral Commission says it has recorded over 3.4 million new voters in the ongoing second phase of the nationwide Continuous Voter Registration exercise. A 25-year-old man, Abubakar Musa, has been arrested by operatives of Ajuwon division of the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly killing two persons and injuring three others in Ifo Local Government Area.
