The Nenadi Usman-led Caretaker Committee of the Labour Party has announced the suspension of members loyal to the Julius Abure-led camp. The Nenadi-led faction recognised by the Supreme Court, posted the names of the 26 suspended party members on its X handle. According to the post, the National Executive Council of the faction approved the suspension. Unknown gunmen have reportedly abducted 14 passengers said to be candidates of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, during an attack on a commercial bus travelling from Makurdi to Otukpo in Benue State. It was gathered that the victims, who are young adults, were travelling on Wednesday night to Otukpo, where they were scheduled to sit for their examinations on Thursday.
