…says Asue Ighodalo fully prepared for poll

Former Chief Press Secretary to Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, Mr. John Mayaki has said the people of Edo State are even more resolved to scuttle alleged plans by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to use security agencies to rig the September 21 governorship poll in Edo State.
Besides, “the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) came into the race prepared and ready to hit the ground running, while the parallel of unpreparedness of the APC candidate, Monday Okpebholo was evident throughout the electioneering campaign”, Mayaki said.
Addressing journalists in Benin City yesterday, Mayaki said the APC was confident about winning because it wanted to rig despite their candidate’s unpreparedness for good governance.
“There’s nothing more than that – to simply get the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), police and their Federal might to do their bidding but the people are resolute and will crush them all,” he said.
He stated that the PDP had gathered enough intelligence report about the alleged plans and would scuttle it at the appropriate time.
