Pep Guardiola on Wednesday night, returned to Manchester City for the first time since left the Premier League club in the summer.

The Spaniard was at the Etihad to watch City play Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

Before now, Guardiola had publicly declared his support for the club, after they were found guilty of breaching financial rules.

Guardiola, who won six titles during his decade in Manchester, sat in the directors’ box for the tie.

He was seated two rows behind chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak and chief executive Ferran Soriano.

The 55-year-old has been replaced by Enzo Maresca, who has won their first six fixtures in the league.
