The trio of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Real Madrid, and Liverpool were involved in high-scoring games in which they all claimed three points in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.
PSG won 4-2 at Manchester City, Real Madrid produced another comeback 4-3 win at Roma, and Liverpool defeated LASK Linz 6-3 in a nine-goal fest.

At the Etihad stadium, UCL defending champions PSG nailed Man City with three quickfire first half goals from Desire Doue, Ousmane Dembele, and Vitinha. Doue curled home the opener into the far post before Dembele doubled the lead with a far post header. Vintinha arrived to sweep into the top corner from the edge of the area to hand the French Ligue 1 champions a 3-0 lead at the interval.
Erling Haaland headed home City’s first of the night to reduce the lead, but Gianluigi Donnarumma fumbled Maghnes Akliouche’s shot into the net for PSG’s fourth goal.
Haaland completed his brace to claim his 61st UCL goal that moved him to the seventh highest goalscorer in UCL history, but the Norwegian striker could not help City further as PSG closed out a win that sees them remain undefeated in 10 matches against English clubs, and in 12 consecutive UCL matches.
In Italy, Jose Mourinho made a winning return to Rome as Real Madrid scored three late goals to win 4-3 against AS Roma. Marten de Roon put Roma ahead but Kylian Mbappe cancelled the lead, before Donyell Malen capitalized on a poor Real Madrid structure in midfield and defence to slot home the ball twice in six minutes, handing the hosts a two-goal cushion with just over 30 minutes left.
However, Real Madrid scored three goals in the last seven minutes of the match through Espi’s rebound, Endrick’s header, and Antonio Rudiger’s goal from four yards, all scored from three corner kick deliveries.
Liverpool, like Real Madrid, made it two wins from two UCL matches with a 6-3 win in Austria, scoring three goals in each half. Bradley Barcola netted his first goal for the club and proceeded to score his first ever hattrick in the UCL. Ronald Araujo opened the floodgates with his first Liverpool goal, and he was joined by Jeremy Frimpong and Lewis Koumas as first-time scorers in a Liverpool shirt.
