Nigerian midfielder, David Eze, has taken to social media to announce his exit from Premier League giants, Manchester City after eight years.

The Talent Hunter reports that the 2010-born midfielder has already reached an agreement to join Man City rivals Manchester United.

Eze garnered interest from various other Category One academies but has chosen to further his development with Manchester United.

Born in March 2010, he is anticipated to join United on a scholarship arrangement and play for the club’s U18 team, while still being eligible to represent the U21s and the senior team.

In accordance with Premier League regulations, all players in their U17 year must commence this season on a scholarship agreement before they can sign their first professional football contract on or after their 17th birthday.

Reflecting on his experience at Manchester City, Eze sent his appreciation to all those who played a role in his development over the last eight years.

“After 8 unforgettable years, I have decided to leave Manchester City and begin a new chapter,” he stated on Instagram.

“I am immensely thankful for the opportunities, challenges, and memories that have influenced both my career and my personal growth.

“I extend my gratitude to the coaches and staff with whom I have had the honor of working and for all the support provided throughout the years.
