. Eniade, several others injured in attack
There was a bloody clash on Wednesday between the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Adewale Egbedun, and the All Progressives Congress House of Representatives candidate for the Ifelodun, Boripe and Odo-Otin Federal Constituency, Francis Eniade.

The bloody clash is coming barely two days before the Saturday August 15 Osun governorship election.
A viral picture released on X on Wednesday showed the APC Reps candidate, Eniade in a pool of blood.
According to claims making the rounds, Eniade was injured during the attack alongside several others.
An X user confirming the incident wrote on Wednesday: “Speaker Wale Egbedun just attacked Eniade. Dozens were injured, and several cars were destroyed. Where are the so-called neutrals to condemn this?”
It was however gathered that the convoy of Eniade was waylaid while returning from Inisa by suspected thugs and security personnel attached to Hon. Egbedun, who were said to be travelling in a Lexus Jeep.
Sensing danger, Eniade increased his speed and headed to the Okuku Divisional Police Station for safety.
But Egbedun’s security details and suspected thugs allegedly invaded the police station, where Eniade’s driver was wounded and his Hilux and other vehicles damaged.
But Police in Osun had yet to confirm the violent clash as of the time of filing this report.
Egbedun, who is backing the incumbent Governor, Ademola Adeleke, had called for the arrest of Senator Francis Fadahunsi and Francis Eniade over alleged inciting remarks.
Fadahunsi on Wednesday appeared before the police in the state over the alleged “Kill Accord Party supporters” remarks.
Governor Adeleke will slug it out mainly with Bola Oyebamiji of the APC and Dr Francis Ajala of the Social Democratic Party, whose name was cleared on Wednesday.
