Former Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has congratulated the management/editorial board and anniversary planning committee of Penpushing Media on 8th anniversary lecture of the organisation.
Amosun in a congratulatory letter to the renowned media outlet, owner of online newspaper and television, which is the first to start operations in Abeokuta, town where journalism started in Nigeria, 1895, said he commended the management for the commitment in promoting excellence in journalism.
The former Governor who was Chairman of the 6th edition of the anniversary lecture, pointed out that the annual lecture programme of Penpushing Media always enriches general public within and outside Nigeria
‘Let me commend the Management, Editorial Board, Planning Committee, and staff of Penpushing Media for their commitment to promoting excellence in journalism and enriching public discourse through this annual lecture series’, he wrote.
Amosun who is a Special Guest of Honour at the 8th Annual Lecture scheduled to hold on Thursday, July 23, 2026, pointed out that the theme of this year’s lecture, “Restoring Electoral Integrity: The Path to Good Governance and Public Accountability,” together with the choice of the keynote speaker, Femi Falana(SAN) is both timely and apt, particularly as Nigeria prepares for the 2027 general elections.
‘I acknowledge receipt of your invitation to serve as the Special Guest of Honour at the 8th Annual Lecture of Penpushing Media, scheduled to hold on Thursday, 23 July 2026’, the letter stated.
