Rivers State Commissioner for Youths, Hon. Chisom Gbali, has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress.
Gbali’s resignation was contained in a letter dated May 13 and addressed to the party’s chairman Ward 1 Oyigbo Local Government Area of the state.
He said the decision was reached after careful reflection and personal consideration.
His letter stated, “I wish to express my sincere appreciation to the leadership and members of the party for opportunities, relationship and experiences I gained during my time as a member of the party.
“I kindly request that my name be removed from the party’s membership records and registers accordingly.”
The Commissioner’s resignation was made known to the public a few hours after Governor Siminalayi Fubara withdrew from the APC governorship primary.
