…say they’ll ‘discuss National Assembly appeal with Labour organs’
Despite last-minute efforts by the National Assembly leadership to prevent the shutting down of the nation’s economy by the unions over the new minimum wage, the Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress insisted on Sunday, that their planned indefinite strike will begin as scheduled.
Both the NLC and TUC said their decision to down tools nationwide stands.
Both unions however said that they will meet and discuss with its organs the appeal made by the leadership of the National Assembly on the need to suspend the planned strike and allow for more dialogue taking a decision
