The Lere West Concerned Group has backed the emergence of Hon. Tom Garba as the Lere West West Constituency candidate for the Kaduna State House of Assembly in the 2027 general elections.

The group also appealed to the Kaduna State Governor, Comrade Uba Sani, and stakeholders in the ruling All Progressives Congress in the state to throw their weight behind Tom Garba’s candidacy.

The group’s statement reads as follows:

“The Lere West Concern Group wishes to formally address the good people of Lere West Constituency, stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the general public regarding the candidacy of Hon. Tom Garba.

“After a careful and objective assessment of aspirants, we find Hon. Tom Garba to be a standout figure whose track record of service, compassion, and leadership continues to resonate strongly across the constituency.

“Through the Tom Garba Foundation, he has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to improving lives at the grassroots. His initiatives include the provision of scholarships to students, repair of boreholes to ensure access to clean and safe water, and consistent philanthropic support to widows and orphans. These interventions are not mere promises, but tangible actions that have directly impacted communities across Lere West.

“Beyond his humanitarian efforts, Hon. Tom Garba has shown exceptional leadership in fostering unity within the APC in Lere Local Government Area. At a time when internal cohesion is critical, he has taken deliberate and strategic steps to bridge divides, engage stakeholders, and promote inclusiveness within the party. His calm disposition and unifying approach distinguish him as a leader capable of strengthening the APC from within.

“We also note his widespread acceptance among the grassroots. Across wards and communities, Hon. Garba is recognized as a leader who understands the challenges of the people and is genuinely committed to addressing them. His accessibility, humility, and service-driven politics continue to earn him the trust and support of constituents.

“Importantly, his people-oriented approach to leadership aligns with the governance style of Uba Sani, whose administration has been widely acknowledged for prioritizing inclusivity, development, and human-centered policies both within the state and beyond. Hon. Garba reflects these same values and represents a continuation of such progressive leadership at the constituency level.

“In light of the above, and considering the developmental setbacks experienced in Lere West in recent times, we strongly call on Uba Sani, the leadership of the APC in Kaduna State, and all stakeholders in Lere Local Government Area to give due consideration to Hon. Tom Garba as the party’s candidate for Lere West Constituency.

“We firmly believe that his proven track record, unifying capacity, and deep grassroots connection make him the most suitable choice to represent and reposition Lere West for sustainable growth and development.”
