Ademola Lookman has said facing Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League will be special.
The Rojiblancos booked a date with their LaLiga rivals after beating Tottenham Hotspur 7-5 on aggregate in the Round of 16.
Atletico had already eliminated Hansi Flick’s side from the Copa del Rey this season.
Barcelona will be desparate to avenge that defeat, and progress further in the Champions League.
Lookman said it is important for his side to prepare adequately for the game.
“Barcelona will be a special, special game against another tough opponent. We need to be ready for it and we’ll prepare in the right way. Let’s take it as it comes,” the winger told reporters.
The winner will face either Arsenal or Sporting Lisbon in the semi-final.
