Technology continues to dominate the global wealth landscape, with innovators behind the world’s leading tech companies occupying most of the top spots in the latest 2026 billionaire rankings.

Topping the list is Elon Musk, whose fortune is estimated at a staggering $839 billion. The 54-year-old entrepreneur has built his wealth through ventures such as Tesla, SpaceX, and artificial intelligence startup xAI, making him the richest individual ever recorded.

Overall, seven of the ten richest people derive their fortunes from technology, highlighting the sector’s outsized influence in shaping modern wealth. Luxury goods and long-term investment remain significant, represented by Bernard Arnault, Amancio Ortega, and Warren Buffett.

The 2026 rankings underscore how innovation, digital transformation, and strategic investing continue to drive global wealth, cementing the position of tech entrepreneurs as the world’s most financially powerful individuals.

According to Forbes’ World’s Billionaires List, obtained from its website on Tuesday, the world’s top ten richest people in 2026 are:

Elon Musk – $839 billion (United States; Tesla, SpaceX)

Larry Page – $257 billion (United States; Google)

Sergey Brin – $237 billion (United States; Google)

Jeff Bezos – $224 billion (United States; Amazon)

Mark Zuckerberg – $222 billion (United States; Meta/Facebook)

Larry Ellison – $190 billion (United States; Oracle)

Bernard Arnault & family – $171 billion (France; LVMH)

Jensen Huang – $154 billion (United States; Nvidia)

Warren Buffett – $149 billion (United States; Berkshire Hathaway)

Amancio Ortega – $148 billion (Spain; Zara / Inditex)
