Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi II, on Tuesday, resumed lectures at Northwest University, Kano, as a 200 Level Law student.
Sanusi, dressed in a black long gown with a white turban, joined other students for lecture.
The Emir took his seat at the back of the class in a three-seater, quietly following the session alongside other students.
His resumption comes after the university offered him a special admission offer last week, granting him entry into the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) programme in Common and Sharia Law.
The institution said the decision was in recognition of his extensive experience in governance, economics, and public service.
Established in 2012, Northwest University is one of the two universities owned by Kano State.
Sanusi, who already holds a PhD, is a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and has remained a prominent voice in public life.
He is widely celebrated for his expertise in economics and finance, as well as his advocacy for education and social reform.
The Emir’s presence on campus drew excitement among younger classmates, who described the moment as symbolic of the value of lifelong learning.
