The National Association of Nigerian Students, Zamfara Chapter, has distanced itself from the ongoing nationwide protest.
President of the Association, Comrade Aliyu Halilu said the body refused to join the protest because of Sen. Abdul’Aziz Yari’s plea.
He said the protest would never be the solution to the economic hardship, rather it’ll worsen it.
According to him, as students all they want is peace and harmorny so that government at various levels can concentrate on strategy to improve the economy.
In his speech, Sen Abdul’Aziz Yari expressed appreciation to the students for not supporting the protest.
Yari maintained that the planned nationwide protest would solve the economic problem facing the country.
He expressed optimism that the Federal Government would do everything possible to improve the economy in the country.
“Let us all understand the situation and give President Bola Ahmad Tinubu time,” he said.
