The sudden death of two sitting members of the Kano State House of Assembly, who passed away within a short interval, has left the state in shock.
Assembly member, Sarki Aliyu Daneji, who represented Kano Municipal Local Government Area, died just minutes after the news of the demise of another lawmaker, Aminu Sa’adu, representing Ungoggo Local Government Area, was broken.
The sudden death of both lawmakers at almost the same time shocked politicians and residents across the state, especially due to the active roles both men played in the Assembly.
Sarki Aliyu Daneji’s death was confirmed by Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the spokesperson of the Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Yusuf announced the sad development through a post on his official Facebook page.
