There was an uproar in the Senate on Wednesday after some lawmakers kicked against a move to excuse former Chief of Defence Staff and ministerial nominee, General Christopher Musa, rtd, from the usual grilling.
It was gathered that rouble started when the Senator representing Niger East, Sani Musa, proposed that the nominee be allowed to “take a bow and go”.

His suggestion was immediately rejected, with several Senators protesting vehemently on their feet and shouting in protest as the chamber became unsettled.
Senate started Musa’s screening as the new Minister of Defence on Wednesday.
