Seyi Tayese, Yenagoa

The Bayelsa State Coordinator, Tinubu Support Group (TSG) and MD/CEO of the Niger Delta Basin Development Authority, Prince Ebitimi Amgbare has appealed to those planning a nationwide protest against hardship in Nigeria to be patient with the government.

Prince Amgbare said the President’s laudable economic policies would soon turn Nigeria better than it is now .

August 1, 2024 has been proposed as the commencement date of the ten days nationwide protest against the Tinubu administration .

Amgbare noted that President Tinubu has not rested on his oars since he became president and has been trying his best to tackle most of the challenges headlong.

He noted that being a grassroots man, President Tinubu knows where it pinches and he has assured Nigerians of his determination to tackle these challenges, most of which were there even before he took over as president

Amgbare in a statement made available to newsmen in Yenagoa, urged Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration to enable him fix the challenges being faced in the country.

The MD /CEO noted that the President has in his wisdom marshalled out several economic policies that will certainly turn the country positively, saying some patience and understanding are needed for the policies to get matured for positive results soon.

“Good things are not always easy to come by, the economic policies the President has put in place will change the current seeming hardship in Nigeria into sustainable growth and development” Amgbare added.

He further noted that if the proposed negative protest is changed into positive support it would go a long way to encourage and partner Mr. President to do more for Nigeria, to move forward faster on the Renewed Hope Agenda.
‌
“Those planning the protest should be patient, Mr. President has passionate determination to change Nigeria ‘s fortunes for good, and has marshalled out various economic policies that will soon turn around the country”.

“He needs our support not protest to make things work . To protest is a distraction” noted the Bayelsa TSG Coordinator who however recalled that in the President’s one year in office he has fulfilled most of his campaign promises .

“President Tinubu campaigned on eight point agenda of economic reforms, strengthening national security , boosting agriculture for food security, unlocking energy and other resources.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has long been a unifying force for Nigeria, we should support him”, he pleaded .

Prince Amgbare added that the President has fought to install local government autonomy and have increased allocations of States, hence State Governors should be accountable to the citizens and dwellers of their individual States.
