…says claims are false, malicious, reaffirms commitment to due process, transparency

Hon. Anas Muhammad, widely known as Dan Amanar Gusau, has firmly dissociated himself from allegations linking him to the purported collection of ₦58 million under the pretence of obtaining a mining licence in Zamfara State.
In a strongly worded disclaimer issued in Gusau, Hon. Muhammad described the reports as baseless, misleading, and a deliberate attempt to tarnish his reputation.
He stated that he has no direct or indirect involvement in the alleged deceit or breach of trust concerning the collection of ₦58,000,000 purportedly meant for a mining license in the state.
He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and the rule of law, stressing that every action he has taken in relation to mining activities has been conducted in strict compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
He emphasized that all his dealings related to mining operations in Zamfara State have been carried out legally, transparently, and in full adherence to federal, state, and local laws, including environmental and mining regulations.
Hon. Muhammad urged the public to disregard the allegations, describing them as malicious fabrications intended to damage his image and mislead unsuspecting individuals.
He vowed to take all necessary legal measures to protect his integrity and reputation against anyone spreading false information.
He also reiterated his continued commitment to supporting lawful mining operations that contribute to economic growth, job creation, and sustainable development in Zamfara State.
