“In Nigeria today we have a president and there is not doubt that when I was in UK I happened to be one of those that sold his twin policies of government to the British investors. I am happy that we are having the fruition of that efforts on my part between June and October that I left London.”
“I also want to say that I already briefed Mr President on some of the projects that are online that I was trying to pursue in UK and I know in time in future those ones will come to fruition too. For us to move forward as a country these economic reforms are necessary to restructure our country and put our country on the part of prosperity. it is on this account that I want all of you to help me endorse Mr President for the second term.” he noted.
Ishola, however, called on his various political support groups to harmonise and come together as one under a single support group called Sarafa Tunji-Ishola Support Group(SSG) for the success of his gubernatorial ambition in 2027, stressing it was high time the group begun to harmonise people at the grassroots to support his dream.
“The purpose of our coming here today is to harmonise our support groups in solidarity and support for the ambition of Ambassador Sarafa Tunji-Ishola and I want to acknowledge you efforts. Some of you have embarked on this programme for the past two years I will not take you for granted but as we move on It is very necessary to harmonise the various local government so that we continue to stand together and bond together to be able to achieve our desired objectives.” he added.
Also speaking, a Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress(APC) chief Joju Fadairo, said that he went to meet Isola in UK to come and contest the governorship position, stressing that he had consulted political leaders including Former President Olusegun Obasanjo to support his ambition.
Fadairo said that the former envoy track’s record, leadership style, and performance as High Commissioner—where he apparently united Nigerians in the diaspora—made him a suitable candidate.
