Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, has expressed satisfaction with the Chief Executive of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, over his conglomerate’s investments in state.
Elemide, who stated this on Wednesday at the Dangote Special Day At 2025 14th Gateway International Trade Fair in Abeokuta, the state capital, said that with the various investments, Dangote had created jobs and livelihoods for citizens in the state.
He thanked Governor Dapo Abiodun for making the state business friendly for investors especially the Chief Executive of Dangote Group, saying that the state had not regretted allowing Dangote to establish his various investments in the state.
The Speaker lauded Dangote’s immense contributions to Nigeria’s economy where every householder uses at least one Dangote products such as rice, cement, sugar, salt, fertilizer among others, noting that he had not only made some citizens bread winners of their families, but had also create businesses for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises(MSMEs) operators in the state.
He said ” So I am happy and impressed and I am proud to be a Nigeria because Dangote is making us proud in Nigeria, that we can have all those products manufactured in Nigeria, the concept is from a Nigerian and those working are Nigerians what else do we need. I am highly elected that it is happening in Ogun State, the state being investment friendly.
“When Dangote was coming for the first time I was part of it, it is a party in government then, I can say I knew what happened but today we have not regretted allowing Dangote into Ogun State. I thanked God for the Executive Governor who is giving our manufacturer, a good and friendly and enabling environment”. He added.
