A non-governmental organisation (NGO), Being Human Foundation for the Less Privileged (BHFLP), has begun the distribution of food items to ease the burden of feeding on the less privileged and the vulnerable individuals during the ongoing Ramadan season.
The Foundation further disclosed that the Ramadan package will start from March 1, 2025 to the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Speaking on the essence of the feeding programme in Abuja on Wednesday, the Founder/Executive Director of BHFLP, Engr. Dr Kahdija Ibrahim, said the organization’s mission is to provide a platform for the less privileged to thrive and cater for them during the holy month and beyond.
Engr Ibrahim further expressed gratitude to the Almighty Allah, her family, and loved ones for their unwavering support in the course of serving humanity and putting smiles on the faces of the less privileged through various empowerment programmes.
She said, “ This Foundation believes in humanity and the need to cater for them. We are happy that we are touching lives in fulfillment of what the Almighty Allah teaches us to love one and another and take care of the less privileged.
“ The Ramadan season also affords us the opportunity to reach out to our people, show love to them and pray with them for peace to reign in Nigeria. We will also pray with them for Allah’s guidance and blessings
“The distribution of food items is for the whole period of Ramadan and we intend to continue to expand in sha Allah. But for now our main focus is for the less privileged in Mpape.
“The distribution of food items will be in three places, the Almajiris that comes to Ilorin, Lugbe and another Almajiri school in Mpape, Abuja.
The BHFLP had recently empowered less privileged individuals and communities at the National Mosque Multipurpose Hall, Abuja on February 7, 2025.
The event was attended by dignitaries, royal fathers, philanthropists and Nigerians from different walks of life.
The presence of the distinguished guests underscored the importance of BHFLP’s mission to empower underprivileged individuals and communities with focus on feeding, education, healthcare, economic empowerment, backyard farming/garden, and social welfare.
The Foundation aims to create a ripple effect of kindness and generosity, ultimately making a positive impact in the lives of those they serve.
