In a bid to bring her campaign promises into fruition, the lawmaker representing Awka North/South Federal constituency of Anambra State, Hon. Prof. Obiageli Lilian Orogbu, has successfully executed over 12 projects in just 18 months.
Some of the projects, which include renovations of classroom blocks, road constructions and installation of solar-powered street lights are in consonance with Hon. Orogbu’s unwavering dedication to improving the lives of her constituents.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony of one of the projects which entailed the construction of access road in Umuawulu and Holy Family Youth Village, Hon. Orogbu expressed her gratitude to her constituents for their support and trust.
She said: “I am proud to say that we have delivered on our campaign promises and these projects have shown that I am committed to the well-being of our people.”
While expressing that she is deeply devoted to improving her constituency by focusing on the key areas of education, human capital development, empowerment and infrastructural development, she assured that the voices of her constituents would be heard and their needs met.
She solicited the support and cooperation of her constituents in the quest to build a brighter future for Anambra State and Nigeria at large.
“My representation is centered on education, human capacity building/empowerment and infrastructure development.
“I am deeply committed to improving our constituency by focusing on these key areas. Together, we can ensure that our voices are heard and our needs are met.
“So, let us build a brighter future for Anambra and Nigeria,” she stated.
Some of the notable projects include: Renovations of classroom blocks at Community Secondary School Achalla; Community Secondary School Okpuno; Ogulube Primary School Ebenebe; Construction of 1km Road at Holy Family Road Amansea; construction of 1km St. Stephen Junction – Omoh Block Industry Mgbakwu, and another 1km Road construction along Ogechukwu Street, Awka.
The Labour Party lawmaker has also executed massive installation of over 400 solar-powered street lights across the 19 communities in the constituency.
In addition to these infrastructure projects, Hon. Orogbu has also facilitated training and empowerment programmes for hundreds of constituents in various capacities.
Her representation is centered on education, human capacity building/empowerment, and infrastructure development, demonstrating her dedication to creating a brighter future for Anambra State and Nigeria at large.
Hon. Orogbu’s outstanding performance has earned her widespread accolades from her constituents, who praise her for keeping the campaign promises.
Commending the lawmaker for her grassroots penetrating strides, former governor of Anambra and ex- presidential candidate of the Labour Party, His Excellency, Peter Obi, who also commissioned a handful of the projects on offer, applauded the lawmaker for her genuine love for the masses and appealed for the sustenance of the tempo.
