Crescent University, Abeokuta has once again established itself as a leading African university in the just concluded 7th International Research Conference of the Humanities, held at the University of Ghana, Accra.
Speaking under the theme- Bridging Inequalities in a Changing World: Advancing Inclusive Growth, Resilience and Sustainable Natural Research Management, scholars from Crescent University Mass Communication and Business Administration Departments, shone like a million stars.
Head of Department of Mass Communication, Dr Kola Adesina and Dr Oluwatoyin Salami delivered a paper titled “Environmental Advocacy on Social Media-Examining the Role of Eco-influencers in Promoting Sustainable Lifestyles Among Nigerian Youths” while the trio of Kola Adesina, Kunle Somorin and Kehinde Ademuyiwa presented “New Media, New Inequalities: The Human Cost of Media Representation.
Similarly, four scholars from Department of Business Administration of Crescent University, namely, Dr Abideen Shodiya, Dr Olajide Raji, Dr Surajudeen Jolaosho and Ayodeji Olamide Ayoola beamed with a research topic “Sustainable Business Practices and Sustainable Performance among SMEs in Abeokuta metropolis, Ogun State, Nigeria”.
Other participanting scholars from the Department of Mass Communication visibly listed in the Book of Abstract are Prof. Lukman Abioye, Omolara Idehenre,Olufunmilayo Thomas Kuye, Odenike Omolaso, Modupe Apanisile and Morayo Ayoola.
Receiving the briefing from participants from Departments of Business Administration and Mass Communication, the vice chancellor, Prof. Ibraheem Gbajabiamila congratulated the scholars who represented Crescent University at the international conference, lauding them for making the university proud at all times.
The vice chancellor stressed that all research presentations by Crescent University scholars are huge contributions to knowledge in Africa and beyond.
