…urges public to disregard information not issued by family spokesman
The Fusengbuwa Royal Family has denied adopting anyone as its consensus candidate for the vacant stool of the Awujale of Ijebu-Ode and paramount ruler of Ijebuland.
According to a statement by Public Relations Officer of the Royal family, Omoba Abiodun Lawrence Adesanya Ogidan, the people of Ijebuland and the general public should discountenance the rumours making the rounds that the Fusengbuwa Royal Family had reached an agreement on presenting anyone as its consensus candidate for the stool of the Awujale.
The statement titled, “Refutal on False Report of Consensus Candidate Adoption,” however, stressed that there was no division within the Fusengbuwa Royal Family, as its affairs regarding the filling of the vacant stool of the Awujale of Ijebuland are effectively being run by a standing committee.
It further urged the general public to disregard any information or social media posts that have not emanated from the PRO of the Fusengbuwa Royal Family, Omoba Abiodun Lawrence Adesanya Ogidan.
The statement partly read, “The Fusengbuwa Royal Family has not adopted anyone as its consensus candidate for the Awujale of Ijebuland’s stool.
“Meanwhile we wish to inform the general public that the Fusengbuwa Royal Family is very much together as one with a standing committee running the affairs of the family towards the Obaship of Awujale of Ijebuland. Any information or posts not from the PRO of the family is null and void.”
