Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has expressed sorrow over the death of Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.

Ewhrudjakpo died after a brief illness at the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa. He collapsed in his office and was rushed to the hospital where he gave up the ghost.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, Governor Fintiri described the late Bayelsa deputy governor as a remarkable leader who embodied trust, integrity and dedication.
The Adamawa Governor extended heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Bayelsa State, particularly Governor Douye Diri, as well as the family, friends, and associates of the deceased deputy governor.
According to Fintiri, Ewhrudjakpo’s courage, determination and passion inspired many, stressing that the deceased left behind a legacy that will continue to motivate future generations.
“May his memory be a blessing to the people of Bayelsa State and Nigeria, and may his contributions to nation-building continue to inspire us all,” Finitiri said.
